Kausani is a small village in the garud tehsil of bageshwar district of Uttrakhand. It is at an elevation of 1890 m above the sea level and 40 km from bageshwar, 52 km north of almora and 123 km from nainital. It is called as the Switzerland of India. It is surrounded by himalayan peaks like nanda devi , trishul and panchchuli.

A pleasant and salubrious weather during Summer, temp range: 10oC to 27oC and winters are sometime harsh in Kausani temp range: 0oC to 24oC. The best time to visit Kausani is March to June and September to November.
